From August 2010 to this day, Vietnam has more than 40,000 historical monuments andĀ beautiful sites. Until 2011, there were 7 heritages which have been recognized as the World Heritage Site in Vietnam by UNESCO included: Thang Long Imperial Citadel (Ha Noi capital), Citadel of the Ho Dynasty (Thanh Hoa province), ancient old Hue capital( Hue city), Ha Long bay ( Quang Ninh province), Hoi An ancient town (Quang Nam province), My Son Temple and Phong Nha- Ke Bang National Park.
Until the end of 2010 the UNESSCO recognized 8 the World’s Biosphere Reserves at Vietnam. These are the delta of Hong river, Cat Ba, Tay Nghe An, Dong Nai, Cu Lao Cham, Can Gio, Ca Mau and Kien Giang coast.
Vietnam is ranked at 27th among 156 countries which have the coastline in the world with many beautiful beaches. Besides, Vietnam is also one of twelve countries having the world’s most beautiful bays. They are Ha Long and Nha Trang bay.
Furthermore, the Vietnamese with the reputation of being very hospitable people and bright smiling is also a strong point of tourism. There’re 54 different ethnic groups inhabiting Vietnam. Each nation has its cultural characteristic, traditions and personal lifestyles. The Kinh people (or Viets) make up nearly 90% of Vietnam’s total population. Major ethnic minority groups include the Tay, Thai, Muong, H’Mong, Dao and Khmer.
